Sharon Mills joined the JCP teaching staff as Bumblebees Head Teacher in 2006 after several years of substitute teaching in all of the JCP classrooms and parenting two boys who were students at the preschool. Born in Delaware, Sharon moved to South Carolina, then it was on to college in Georgia and South Carolina. She worked in New Orleans for three years and then came to UNC, Chapel Hill for graduate school. A consummate learner, Sharon, who has her masters in Physical Therapy, has returned to the adult classroom to pursue further studies in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Sharon loves to help the young children in her class transition from the toddlerhood to the preschool years, increasingly more independent and capable in every area of development. Favorite activities in the classroom include: singing and dancing, reading stories, pretend play, and making trains for the whole class to ride to outer space!
