Jesslyn Perlmutter has been teaching at the Jewish Community Preschool since its inception in 1989! After graduating from UNC, Chapel Hill and attending graduate school at the Washington University School of Social Work, Jesslyn married and moved to Raleigh with husband David. They have been part of Beth Meyer Synagogue ever since – except for a brief stint in Kentucky.  Jesslyn’s three children received their religious school education here at Beth Meyer.  After teaching several years at another Jewish preschool in Raleigh, Jesslyn joined the Toddler & Two’s Class at JCP, and has since helped numerous families deal with the sensitive issues of the “Terrific Two’s” — separation from loved ones, learning that school can be fun, and lots of firsts - first friends, first time painting, etc.! Some of Jesslyn’s favorite activities with the Stars include: reading to and singing with the children, art, and cooking.
