Our guest speaker, BMS congregant Seth Effron, brings nearly half a century of experience covering North Carolina’s people and politics. A journalist, former Communications Director for the NC Energy Office, and opinion editor for Capitol Broadcasting Company before retiring in May 2025, Seth will present: “The Truth About the News” — an insider’s look at the people and events that make headlines from someone who has been reporting in and around North Carolina for decades.
