About our speaker
Rick Glazier has taught at Campbell Law as an adjunct professor since 1991 and joined the Justice Center in 2015 after serving 13 years in the N.C. House of Representatives. During his legislative tenure, he held key roles on judiciary, education, ethics, and appropriations committees. He now leads the Blanchard Community Law Clinic and Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.
Rick has been widely recognized for his public service, receiving multiple Legislator of the Year honors, the N.C. Bar Association’s 2012 Citizen Lawyer Award, and the Order of the Long Leaf Pine in 2015.
A former chair of the Cumberland County Board of Education, he has also served on statewide education boards and is a frequent speaker on public school finance and governance. At Campbell Law, Rick has taught courses in litigation, advocacy, and legislative policy, and previously taught criminal justice at Fayetteville State University as well as criminal law courses at several other institutions.
Rick has held leadership and board roles in numerous community and professional organizations, including Beth Israel Synagogue in Fayetteville, UNC Public Television, and the N.C. Academy of Trial Lawyers. Glazier earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University and his B.A. from Penn State University. Find complete details here.
