7:00 PM - 9:00 PMComplex histories collide with a challenging present in this documentary film event which debuts on Yom Ha’Shoah/ Holocaust Remembrance Day. A group of Holocaust survivors, filmed during the 2020-21 global Coronavirus pandemic, share their experiences of trauma and resilience with the greater community in an urgent effort to ensure we never forget. Filmed throughout the pandemic, Where Can I Go weaves together remote therapeutic group sessions with in-person interviews, examining the lasting effects of early childhood trauma through the lens of aging and resilience.
The adults portrayed in this film participated in Kesher, a Raleigh-Cary JFS program, utilizing creative arts therapy to improve mental health and reduce the social isolation of Holocaust survivors.
Beth Meyer Synagogue is proud to partner with JFS to bring a Movie Launch Watch Party on April 8 from 7-9 p.m. Buy your on-demand or community watch party tickets by emailing The Justice Theater Project or calling 919-264-7089.
