Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about ShulCloud

**It is important to note that ShulCloud works best on Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browsers.**
**Please use one of those.**

Q: What is ShulCloud?

A: ShulCloud is a web, cloud-based synagogue management software used by over 900 synagogues throughout the United States. This system was created to directly serve synagogues and their members’ unique needs including account management, bill payment, record updating, membership directory and more.

Q. What happened to our prior membership database, Rakefet?

All current membership records and financial data have been imported into ShulCloud.

Q: How can I log in to ShulCloud?

A: You will receive an email by June 7th inviting you to log in and create/update your profile. We strongly recommend that each member unit take the time to complete this step when first accessing the new system. It will ensure that all payments and donations will be readily categorized and properly attributed. For multi-adult households, you will need to designate someone as the head of household.

Q: What if I never receive the email inviting me to create my profile?

A: Please email admin@bethmeyer.org and we will send you a new email invitation.

Q: I forgot my password, what do I do?

A: On the log-in screen, there is a “forgot password” button. If you click this, ShulCloud will send you an email prompting you to set up a new password.

Q: Can I update my personal information on ShulCloud?

A: Yes. You will be able to edit all this information on the website when logged in to your account. If you are logged in, it should say "Welcome [Your Name]" in the top right corner of the website. Click it, and then Click on "My Account" where you will be able to update any information.

Q: Who can see my information?

A: Beth Meyer Synagogue’s (BMS) ShulCloud system is only accessible to BMS members. The only people who can see your financial information are you and the BMS administrative staff. Soon we will be creating an online Member Directory, accessible to BMS members. Each family unit will be able to control what information is visible in that directory.

Q: Can I use ShulCloud to make donations or payments?

A: Yes! You will be able to make donations and register for events and classes directly from the website, as well as delineate where you would like your funds to be applied. You will have the option to either use a charge card (with an administrative fee) or an eCheck (no fee).

Q. Is it possible to pay annual dues using my ShulCloud account?

For the upcoming August 2019-July 2020 fiscal year, dues still need to be paid using either check or bank draft. That policy may change for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, based on ShulCloud capabilities, but no decisions have been made at this point.

Q: Is my credit card on file secure?

A: Yes. Your personal and financial information is secure. ShulCloud does not store credit card information, they use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt all payment transactions.

Q: Can I change my credit card on file or add a credit card on file?

A: Yes, at any time, you can add an additional credit card to your saved payment methods.

Q: What if I do not want to make payments online?

A: You may continue to send in checks to make payments. If you choose to send checks, we ask that you allow up to one week for payments to appear on your account.

Q: How do I check my account balance?

A: Log in to:  Account> Transactions> you will be able to see your account balance. Please keep in mind that payments made by cash, check, or to the synagogue office may take up to 1 week to appear on your account.

Q: Can I update my personal information on ShulCloud?
