Erev Simhat Torah: Recognizing Our Keter Torah Honorees and Ice Cream Sundae Bar
Thursday, October 24, 2024 • 22 Tishrei 5785
6:00 PM - 7:30 PMSanctuary/LivestreamFor hundreds of years, the privilege of chanting the final reading from Deuteronomy and the first lines of Genesis on Simhat Torah was the greatest honor a congregation could grant a member. This year, honors are given to Emily Frazier and Mark Goldhaber — two individuals who provided outstanding service to the community over the course of the previous year. In addition to concluding the Torah and beginning it once again, our holiday prayer service will include the traditional hakafot (circling with the Torah).
Prior to the service, ice cream will be served in the spirit of the sweetness of Torah, as well as traditional "l’hayims" for adults. If applicable, please list any food allergies or restrictions in the "Notes" section and we will try our best to accommodate requests.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
