Senior Luncheon: The Story Lives On — Remembering Holocaust Survivor Abe Piasek

12:00 PM - 1:30 PMSocial HallSteve Goldberg, a U.S. History teacher from the Triangle, has made it his mission to continue telling Holocaust survivor Abe Piasek’s story. Abe, who lived in Raleigh for the last decade of his life, shared his experiences of survival with hundreds of audiences. When he passed away in 2020 at age 91, he asked his friend Steve to “keep sharing my story” — a promise Steve has honored 155 times, reaching nearly 10,000 people.
