Tisha B'av Sunday Minyan
Sunday, July 18, 2021 • 9 Av 5781
9:00 AM - 10:00 AMSanctuary/ZoomTisha B'Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, on which we fast, deprive ourselves and pray. It is the culmination of the Three Weeks, a period of time during which we mark the destruction of both Solomon's Temple by the Neo-Babylonian Empire and the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in Jerusalem.
Join us as we commemorate Tisha B’Av at our Sunday Minyan with a traditional shaharit (morning service) beginning at 9 a.m. The prayer service is conducted almost exclusively in Hebrew; however, there are transliterated siddurim (prayerbooks) available. On the morning of Tisha B’Av, our Sunday morning minyan will include a Torah Service. Along with Torah and Haftarah readings, we will also hear selections from the book of Eicha.
NEW: As of June 8, all COVID restrictions for this service have been lifted. There are no gathering limits and registration is not required. Face-coverings are not required for vaccinated adults. We recommend face-coverings for unvaccinated adults/teens and children between the ages of 5 and 12.
