Tish’ah B’Av Evening Service

Saturday, August 2, 2025 8 Av 5785

8:30 PM - 9:30 PMBeit Am and Zoom

..

Tish’ah B’Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, on which we fast, deprive ourselves and pray. It is the culmination of the Three Weeks, a period of time during which we mark the destruction of both Solomons Temple by the Neo-Babylonian Empire and the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in Jerusalem.

Join Rabbis Eric and Jenny to commemorate Tish’ah B’Av with a service and program, including the traditional chanting from the book of Eicha (Lamentations). We traditionally sit on the floor in a dim room, so bring your flashlights. Chairs will be available.

Those who are unable to attend in-person can join via Zoom (a link is included in the registration confirmation) — but please note, due to the nature of the programming only voices will be heard.
