“What really matters is that we care about the people we seek to engage. When we genuinely care about people, we will not only welcome them; we will listen to their stories, we will share ours, and we will join together to build a Jewish community that enriches our lives.”*
     — Dr. Ron Wolfson, Jewish educator

Why Beth Meyer Synagogue? What motivates you to co-build sacred Jewish community in the Triangle and share your story with us? No doubt, every seeker answers this differently, but there is a thread almost universal to our thinking: the fundamentally human need to connect. To find companionship with God, Israel, and the Jewish people as our souls travel in this great, shifting sea of life.

Membership is a powerful expression of commitment to our companions — it fuels the prayer services, learning programs, lifecycle moments, schmoozes, and noshes (meals) that bring us together. While there are some benefits that only members enjoy, people join shuls, especially in the South, to sustain them so that Jewish connections can flourish — and so that they can lean on community when they need it.

Get started with your membership application today by filling out the form below (or download a PDF here). We know that choosing a Jewish home can be a big decision, so our minhag (custom) is to discount dues 50.0% for first-time members for the fiscal year in which they join. Please know, too, that personal finances are never a barrier to participation here — if you cannot afford your dues level for any reason, just let us know. No questions asked.
