We are obligated to other people in a range of contexts. For instance, we may become obligated when witnessing wrong doing against those we hardly even know, while other obligations may stem from ongoing relationships. In this class with Rabbi Eric Solomon, we will explore in greater detail the ethical responsibilities we have for one another in diverse contexts and ask questions about how to meet those responsibilities, what degree of obligation we have, and what kind of sacrifices we should be willing to make on behalf of others.
