Tashlikh

Tuesday, September 23, 2025 1 Tishrei 5786

5:00 PM - 6:00 PMmeet in the Beth Meyer Synagogue parking lot

Join for us a short, contemplative walk from our parking lot to the pond on Tara Farm. We’ll gather at the water’s edge for songs, an explanation of the ritual of tashlikh, and a shofar blowing before returning home. Our team has pebbles for you to toss, but feel free to bring bread if that is your tradition. Dogs on leashes are welcome!

Getting to Tara Farm
It’s about a 15-minute walk from Beth Meyer to the pond at Tara Farm. Once on the Tara Farm property, the walk continues along a mostly flat and shade, gravel pathway.

For those who need a more accessible option, parking is available at the pond’s lot. You are invited to drive directly to the farm and arrive at 5:30 p.m. A Beth Meyer staff member will be present to direct you to the pond and pavilion. While the parking lot is gravel, the pathway to the pavilion is flat and paved. If accessibility has kept you from joining us in the past, this is the year to join us — we’re ready to welcome you!

Please note: Along the edge of the pond across from where we will cast our crumbs, there is a cross primarily used for wedding ceremonies. While we recognize that, for some in our congregation, this marker may be jarring, we hope that all will simply see it as a sign of the Pugh’s family’s reverence for their faith.
