11:00 AM - 12:00 PMZoomOn Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m.-noon, between Simhat Torah and Shavuot, Rabbi Eric, Rabbi Jenny, and Amy Ripps rotate as instructors at these drop-in study sessions. No need to commit to attend every session; all sessions standalone. Join in at any time! These sessions are open to members and prospective members.
Words have power! The vocabulary of Jewish life is the framework that Jews use to understand our tradition and pass it to the next generation. Rabbi Jenny will teach from These Are the Words by Dr. Arthur Green, which explores the meaning, history, and origin of over 150 core Hebrew words that are shared and understood throughout the Jewish world. We will explore this basic vocabulary of Jewish communal and religious identity, and gain comfort using these words in Hebrew.
A Zoom link is sent upon registration. Note: The Zoom link is the same for all three classes — no need to register for all three classes if you’d like to attend every week.
Interested in other topics? Also on select Wednesdays at the same time, Rabbi Eric teaches a class on Pirkei Avot and Amy Ripps teaches Who Were These Guys? An Introduction to Our Sages and Biblical Commentators.
