Shorashim (Roots) Havdalah
Saturday, January 24, 2026 • 6 Shevat 5786
5:30 PM - 6:30 PMBeit AmFamilies with infants, toddlers, and preschool students are invited to join us as we end Shabbat in community with the deeply spiritual ritual of Havdalah. No experience needed. Simply bring yourselves and your intentions for the week ahead. Together, we will chant blessings, sing songs, and enjoy toddler-friendly activities to explore the ritual of Havdalah. There will be food and abundant conversation!
This event is open to the community — held in partnership with PJ Library — a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh.
Don't miss our Shabbat morning prayer experience for young children and their grown-ups, Shabbat Shorashim, on select Saturdays. This engaging, participatory service ends in the Sanctuary as we join the congregation for final blessings, followed by Kiddush (grape juice), Motzi (challah), and a kid-friendly lunch in the Social Hall.
