A Blue & White Affair Childcare

We hope you enjoy A Blue & White Affair!

Babysitting is staffed by our amazing Beth Meyer teens, and there is no additional charge. We are happy to welcome children from kindergarten through middle school.

A Blue & White Affair begins at 7:00pm, and you may drop children off beginning at 6:45pm. Pick up is whenever you leave the event, but no later than 10:00pm. They should eat dinner before arriving, but snacks will be served throughout the evening.

Deadline for registration is Monday, February 17th.

Shabbat Shelanu

Shabbat Shelanu (Our Shabbat) is a prayer experience for elementary school students. We'll meet monthly to explore Shabbat morning services together. This is geared toward 3rd-5th grade students, so we will engage with traditional liturgy, but there will also be songs and stories, so younger elementary students are welcome to join us.

Sunday Minyan

This traditional shaharit (morning service) begins at 9AM and generally concludes at approximately 9:40AM. The service is conducted almost exclusively in Hebrew; however, there are transliterated siddurim (prayerbooks) available. Lay leaders usually lead the minyan except when there is a special occasion such as Rosh Hodesh (new Hebrew month) or a holiday. It is customary for adult Jews to wear a tallit (prayer shawl) for this service. Many people also wear tefillin (leather boxes containing holy scripture). There are additional sets of "loaner" tefillin available upon request.
