Introducing BaBayit, a co-op for Jewish homeschool families. We had our first interest meeting for families in February, and are moving forward with plans for the fall of 2021.

What is a homeschool co-op? Homeschool families join co-ops for many reasons; social opportunities, skill-sharing among parents, mental & emotional support for parents, and more. Co-ops are run by the families, not the organization. The organization supports the co-op with space, logistical help, office support.

Why a Jewish co-op? Many co-ops in our area are run by churches, making it difficult or impossible for Jewish families to participate. Families in a homeschool co-op may celebrate holidays with one another, take advantage of resources already available in the Raleigh-Cary Jewish community, and create their own programs to enhance their at home learning.

How do I get involved? Help us spread the word! This group will be open to all Jewish homeschool families, they do not need to be members of Beth Meyer. Parents will be meeting monthly in the spring to determine goals and activities for the 2021-2022 school year. Contact Cathy Kaplan (cathyk@bethmeyer.org) to get connected!
