erev Simhat Torah

Tuesday, September 28, 2021 22 Tishrei 5782

6:30 PM - 7:30 PMin-person outside/Zoom

In addition to concluding the Torah and beginning it once again, our holiday prayer service will include the traditional Hakafot (circling with the Torah) and a celebratory dessert. It is a holiday for Jews of all ages — young and old.

For hundreds of years, the privilege of chanting the final reading from Deuteronomy and the first lines of Genesis on Simhat Torah was the greatest honor a congregation could grant a member. This year, honors are given to Kim Wicksel and Leah Pollack — two individuals who provided outstanding service to the community over the course of the previous year.

This event will be in-person outside (weather permitting) and on Zoom (register below to receive the link). Enjoy treats for all ages, including Krispy Kreme donuts and traditional "L'chayims" for adults.

Registration is not required for in-person attendance.
